An Uneventful Saturday

Eric was in Vegas this past weekend, and I was lucky enough to score a ticket to the big, cross-town rivalry, Cubs vs. White Sox game at Wrigley Field. I went with my friends, Tricia and Amy (below left to right). We had bleacher seats, which is first come, first serve to find a seat. The gates open 2 hours before the first pitch, so you can imagine the shananigans that occur out in bleacherville. While the White Sox were having batting practice and warming up, a buxom blonde Sox fan was trying to get the outfielder to throw her a baseball, while his reward would be a flash of her tats. It didn't happen but the ENTIRE team was watching the stands, waiting, and hoping. They didn't seem to care they were playing an important game, and it showed later when the Cubs hit a grand slam home run to win.

Meanwhile, in our row of seats, a huge fight broke out between some drunky, trashy Sox dude and a drunky Cubs fan. Beer was thrown, four people were kicked out, and I sat back and laughed. I mean, really?!?!?

Then a very familiar woman walks up with her man, and it was Lisa Ling. She sat in front of us and was the nicest ever. She was with her fiancee, a oncologist at Northwestern, who is a big Cubs fan. She told us all about how they're getting married this coming Saturday in LA, how she's wearing a Vivienne Tam designed red wedding dress, and their first song is California Love by Tupac. He was joking that he's going to be the Koren version of Kevin Federline. We're all BFF's now :)

Just an uneventful Saturday in Chicago.
